A key member of the team, the Salaried GP will manage a caseload, dealing with a wide range of presenting
health care needs in a primary care setting ensuring the highest standards of care for the differing needs of
our patient population.
The salaried GP will work closely with multi -disciplinary team of other GPs, nurses and nonclinical
staff to provide a high quality and accessible service to all registered patients.

- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred primary care through face-to-face, telephone and home visit consultations.
- Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Make autonomous clinical decisions and develop appropriate treatment and care plans.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Provide health promotion, counselling and patient education.
- Prescribe safely and in accordance with local and national prescribing guidance.
- Process repeat prescriptions and manage clinical correspondence, referrals and associated paperwork.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous patient records and clinical documentation.
- Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other healthcare providers.
- Complete care plans and participate in locally commissioned and Enhanced Services.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective patient care.
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement and service development activities.
- Contribute to teaching, training and the supervision of healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Maintain GMC registration, medical defence cover and ongoing professional accreditation.
- Participate in annual appraisal, revalidation and continuing professional development.
- Support the practice in maintaining high standards of clinical governance, safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance.
- Comply with Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, CQC and practice policies.
- Be flexible to work across practice sites and support service delivery as required.
